An initiative by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA), Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is held annually by its members to promote awareness of privacy and personal data protection issues typically in May. In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, the PDPC is marking the fourth week of September 2020 as PAW in Singapore.

This year, we look at the value of accountability and transparency in strengthening consumer trust in the burgeoning digital age. When organisations can be trusted with little, they will be entrusted with more.

During the week, the PDPC will hosting events and activities with industry partners and consumers, providing resources in guiding organisations on the management of their customers’ personal data and helping everyone learn how to protect your personal data and respect others’.
